Neptune into Aries (brace yourself)
Neptune ends its transit in Pisces and ingresses into the first sign of the zodiac, Aries for the next 13 years on 26/27 January 2026 (depending where in the world you are). It is the start of a new cycle of creativity, psychology, spiritualism and collectively, our hopes and dreams for a better world.
Neptunian’s water energy’s has been transiting in a fellow water sign, Pisces, since February 2012. The themes of addiction, escapism, depression, loneliness became hot topics, perhaps even personally so. Remember water is our most changeable element. Ice, snow, mist, rain, hail, sleet, humidity and our oceans show just how sensitive water can be. When water operates in a water element you can feel like you’re drowning at times.
This manifests in so many ways. Some of you may have hoped and waited for something to happen because you were dependent on another, and in the end it likely never eventuated. You may have even doubted yourself for so long you ended up stuck in a relationship or a job that simply wasn’t going anywhere.
The curtain has come down on that show, and the lights are about to come on. You can no longer hide behind someone else’s narrative. The buck stops with you. What do you actually want?
Neptune in Pisces has been a time when many exploded the cosmos and what lies beyond our known world. Some have dabbled in new belief systems, meditated more, sought either refuge by the water or had to deal with deluges of water. Many looked into psychology and therapy professions or started creative projects that enabled them to express themselves more freely from within.
As Neptune in Pisces comes to a close, its time to either clean things up in your life, or cut things out. This is especially true if you battle with alcoholism or drug addiction or other mind-altering habits that don’t serve you. Included are narcissistic behaviours such as an inflated sense of self-importance, or that constant need for admiration, or a lack of genuine empathy for others. It all masks a deep insecurity.
Thankfully, Neptune in Aries switches our attention, flow and consciousness to the physical world. You will now need to walk the talk but luckily you can expect this vibe to ramp your energy and motivation. This is a welcome change to where you have found yourself trying to sell or live the dream. Some will now find themselves exposed as frauds. Oh dear.
The more introspective during this period found themselves sitting on some enormous creative talent in writing, music, film, or art. You are now compelled to take it out into the world. It should stir the soul.
Get ready to stand up for what you believe in. You won’t recognise yourself. Others will start to see a newfound competitiveness. It will soon be obvious you are far more self-directed and less reliant on others than you’ve been in years. Neptune as a water sign will have to push forward and do things differently if dreams are to come to fruition.
This is a generational change.
If you find yourself standing on unstable or unfamiliar ground as familiarity and known structures start to wobble, you’re not alone. Expect institutional and authoritarian rules and regulations to become exposed. You won’t believe how nonsensical they sound in hindsight. Leaders, institutions, and belief systems are being forced to respond to a younger, angrier generation that’s prepared to push back.
Take a chance on a fresh, well thought through approach.
The uncomfortable news is women may find themselves sidelined while men battle it out until May 2038. It will then become clear that our relationship with the physical world is foremost to our survival. (What will we destroy in the process ?).
If you want to plan ahead, think about how you will be nurturing the next generation of not only our species but all others, those you leave behind. If we want to avoid inevitable extinction, our survival depends on the collective, not the individual mindset. For now, it’s about me, me, me. Everyone will have an answer until they don’t. Sit back and hear what they have to say. Lived experiences and the more resilient by nature have a better chance of navigating through the minefield of information and uncertainty.
Sadly, Neptune in Aries when married with Uranus in Gemini and Pluto in Aquarius is like watching a mother step back while her young child learns to walk. All we can do is move them out of harm’s way and watch “little boys” make mistakes along the way. They will come back to ‘mumma’ when Neptune ingresses into Taurus.
Until then, having a comfortable and safe home and a garden, one that sustains food and livestock, perhaps a secret stash of cash for emergencies, a loving marriage and happy children will sound like a distant dream that the next generation. Most will only read about such a life in picture books.
In the meantime, be careful what you wish for. The Universe is listening.
